All data stored on the iPad is encrypted using AES 256-bit hardware-based encryption provided by Apple. This encryption on the iPad is always on and cannot be disabled by users.

Starting with version 3.0 of the QuickTapSurvey app, the database file for the app can also be separately encrypted by making sure to set up a passcode for your iPad.

Furthermore, all data being transmitted from the iPad to the QuickTapSurvey servers is done over an encrypted connection using SSL/TLS with a certificate issued by Entrust Inc. The certificate used can be examined by going to this address in your browser https://www.quicktapsurvey.com/admin/. It uses the certificate signature algorithm: PKCS #1 SHA-1 With RSA Encryption with a 2048 bit key.

When accessing the QuickTapSurvey Web App, all data in transit between your browser and the QuickTapSurvey Web App is also encrypted to prevent tampering, eavesdropping or message forgery. This is using the same encryption and certificate described in the previous section.
